Krista is home sick (hard to keep good coordinators), but she managed to amend the minutes from the meeting Jan. 10 based on comments Bree Hardcastle wanted to get on record. Thank you! I'm sending those along, but also some bad news. It's not unexpected, but Goldridge's efforts (thanks again to Krista, Noelle, and Brittany) with CDFA have not borne fruit. We have no base funding to spend. We can only bill for hours expended during the contract period (the last two weeks of December). I don't know about you all, but I was visiting family most of that time. In other words, there are no hours to bill for from that period, so the taxpayers (or Sacramento, depending on your perspective) get to keep the money. The supplemental funding will continue through this calendar year, and CDFA will not grant any extensions. I wish we had better news. I hope to revisit the question of how to have a vibrant WMA without $30k per year in base funding. Bake sales? Car washes? Sell Facebook stock?
